New Irish Visa Announced

The Irish Department of Justice recently announced that the five-year multi-entry short-stay visa option will now be available to all visa-required countries. This visa is designed for individuals who frequently visit Ireland for business or family reasons, and allows eligible applicants to make a single application to cover travel over a five-year period. Previously, multi-entry visas were limited to one, two, or three-year options, with the exception of a five-year option previously exclusively available to Chinese passport holders.

The multi-entry visa may also be granted to some business travelers with no prior travel history to Ireland, but certain conditions apply. Holders of a multi-entry visa may visit Ireland on multiple occasions within the dates specified on the visa. It’s important to note that the standard single-entry visa option remains available, and the decision to grant a multi-entry visa is at the discretion of the relevant Visa Officer. This extension of the multi-entry visa option is expected to increase tourism and facilitate closer international relationships.
